Who We Are

We are a community of nuns of the Diocese of the West of the Orthodox Church in America, under the omophorion of His Eminence Archbishop Benjamin. Our monastery was established in 2015, and has since grown, by the grace and blessing of God. We strive to live a traditional communal Orthodox monastic life according to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the rich wellspring of the teachings of the Early Fathers of the Church.

Our Beginnings

After being sisters together for over 20 years in Egypt, God us to relocate to the US and continue our ministry and ascesis here. With full faith in God, we packed up and ventured to this entirely new land. God blessed us greatly in His divine arrangements and care for us in all regards, and we have been able to serve Him even in new ways here. Also since we relocated God has blessed us to welcome new, young sisters and novitiates, some even coming from overseas!

Our Vision

“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days
That the mountain of the Lord’s house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And all nations shall flow to it.”

As our community grows and our ministries grow, we find it vital to establish a permanent place here in the US that would support this growth. We have a vision to build a place of refuge and healing for God’s people from all over the world.  The truth is, God’s children are aching with the sores and wounds of this world, and are in dire need for the Lord’s house of refuge. We, the mothers and sisters, have each truly tasted and seen the healing of the Lord’s house in our own lives, in different and unique ways, and thus want to share this power of healing with all nations.

The Land

By the grace of God, we have recently found a beautiful and suitable piece of bare land in Casa Grande, AZ, that is in line with our vision. We used all we had saved up over the years to finally purchase this property, and have just begun installing fencing around the perimeter. We live by a simple principle: whenever we have provision we proceed.

For years now we have been working hard to save up for our little city of refuge, with much prayer, much labor, much dedication, and little sleep. We deeply thank all who have been supporting us along the journey!

However, we still have a long way to go before we make this vision a reality. We humbly appreciate your prayers and support, and assure you that every gift you offer, whether spiritual or material, will never go unrewarded by our gracious God!
